Interconnection point

A physical or virtual point connecting adjacent market area, in so far as these points are subject to booking procedures by network users. Where two or more interconnection points connect the same two adjacent market areas, these network point are integrated together in a virtual interconnection point for the purposes of providing a single capacity service.
