REMIT

REMIT (Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) is Regulation (EU) no. 1227/2011 on the integrity and transparency of the wholesale energy market. Aim of the Regulation is to prevent insider trading and market manipulation.

Although primarily focused on energy traders, also transmission system operators are, pursuant to Art. 4 of Regulation (EU) no. 1227/2011, obliged to publish market information, including planned and unplanned unavailability of transmission capacity.
