Minor adjustment to measurement systems

GTS measures the gas composition via a gas chromatograph (GC) at 163 locations in the network to control the network and determine the energy value of the gas. The Helium component is not measured in the GC, therefore an assumption is made with a fixed percentage historically determined at the site of measurement. This percentage is tested regularly via check measurements. This has shown that due to changed gas flows in the Netherlands (such as more LNG, less gas from Groningen), the percentages have to be adjusted to maintain the high quality of the energy determination. The correction thus achieved is between +0.03 and +0.065 %. GTS will implement the changes after consultation with the relevant domestic and foreign connected network operators. The change will also further increase the accuracy of the financial and physical gas balance.
