Tariffs decision 2025
On Friday the 24th of May, the GTS tariff decision for 2025 was published by ACM.
On average, the tariffs for 2025 increase by 52% compared to the exceptional year 2024. The tariff increase is mainly caused by higher revenues as a result of the changed method decision 2022-2026 and by a decrease in the expected gas transmission capacity to be sold.
In contrast to GTS's tariff proposal, the ACM included a preliminary estimation of the Inter-Transmission System Operator Compensation (ITC) in the tariff decision. The ACM intends to definitively determine the ITC later on. Any differences from the preliminary estimation will be settled.
Also, in the tariff decision, the ACM replaced the estimated inflation of 1.7% from GTS's proposal with the actual inflation of 2.8% (February 2024).

Neutrality charge
In addition to the tariffs, GTS sets a neutrality charge based on the Grid Code Balancing. This charge settles costs and revenues from balancing activities, including the pipeline buffer flexibility service, emergency settlements and costs due to defaults.
In 2025, the amount that will be settled via the neutrality charge (refund to market parties) will be approximately EUR 2.1 million.
See below the calculation of the neutrality charge and the charge per capacity product.
